For years, shame and guilt controlled my life. I chased validation from the world through success, fitness, money, relationships, and performance, hoping something would finally fill the emptiness inside. On the outside, it looked like everything was working, but internally I was carrying addiction, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and the weight of my past.
I tried to outwork the pain and outrun the brokenness, but no amount of achievement could free me from what I was holding onto. I was living for the approval of people instead of surrendering to God. The more I tried to control my life, the more lost I became.
Everything changed when I fully surrendered my life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Not just believing in Him, but truly following Him. Jesus met me in the middle of my brokenness, removed the shame I carried, and showed me that my identity was not found in my past, failures, or performance — it was found in Him.
What once tried to destroy me became part of my testimony. Now my life is devoted to helping other men know they are not too far gone, that freedom is possible through Christ, and that God can redeem any story for His glory.
